Legendary Effects

(Updated to Steel Reign Patch July 2021)

For those of you just entering the “Legendary” lifestyle, you will begin to notice that THESE items have stars beside their names, rather than your bland old LAME previous items. What exactly are these? Well, each Legendary item is obtained through killing a LEGENDARY (go figure) enemy, giving you a possible 1-3 legendary effects on that item. Today, we’ll be going through all the Fallout Legendary Weapon Effects.

Legendary Effects are EVERYTHING in Fallout 76, ranging from damage, resistances, flat stat bonuses and more. Currently, the maximum amount of effects you can have on a single item is 3 stars, (which means effects), and they can range from being incredibly helpful to flatout garbage.

With all that being said, with these THREE effects, each Fallout Legendary Weapon Effect has different traits and modifiers that add to your build: A Main effect, a Minor Effect, and a Major Effect.

1-Star Legendary item will contain a Main Effect

2-Star Legendary will contain a Main Effect and a Major Effect

3-Star Legendary will contain a Main Effect, a Major Effect, and a Minor Effect.

Now the REAL Question is: What ARE those possible effects? Well, here ya go.

Deals 25% More damage against Scorched, but is 20% less effect against everything else

Aristocrat’s
Damage increases as Caps increase. Maximum of +50% damage at 29,000 Caps.

Assassin’s

+50% Damage to Players

All

Berserker’s

Deal more damage the lower your Damage Resistance. +50% Damage while at 0 Damage Resistance

All

Bloodied
Deal More damage the Lower your Health

All

Double
Double Ammo Capacity

Ranged Weapons

Executioner’s
50% more damage when your target is below 40% Health

All

Exterminator’s

Does 50% more damage against Mirelurks and Bugs

All

Furious

Damage increased after each consecutive hit on same target

All

Ghoul Slayer’s

Does 50% more damage against Ghouls

All

Gourmand’s
Damage increases as you fill your hunger and thirst meters. Maximum of +24% damage

All

Hunter’s

Does 50% more damage against animals

All

Instigating

Does Double damage if target is at full health

All

Juggernaut’s

Damage increases as Health increases. Maximum of +25% damage at 95% health or above

Junkie’s

Deal more damage the more chem withdrawals you have

All

Medic’s

V.A.T.S. crits heal you and your group

All

Mutant’s
Damage increases by +5% per Mutation that affects the character, up to a maximum of +25%.

Mutant Slayer’s

Does 50% more damage to Super Mutants

Nocturnal

Does increased amounts of damage during the night

Quad

Quadruple Ammo Capacity

Ranged weapons besides explosive or black powder weapons
Stalker’s

If not in combat, +100% V.A.T.S. accuracy at +50 AP Cost.

All

Suppressor’s

Reduce your target’s damage output by 25% for 5 seconds

Troubleshooter’s

Does 50% more damage to robots

Two Shot
Shoots and additional projectile at 25% base effect

Ranged weapons except for explosive

Vampire’s

Gain brief health regeneration when hitting an enemy

Zealot’s

Does 50% more damage against Scorched

Major Effects

Legendary Effect: Effect found on Weapon:
Last Shot: The final round in a magazine has a 25% chance to deal twice as much damage. Single shot weapons, like Black Powder Rifles, cannot spawn with Last Shot. Most Weapons
Steady: +25% damage while standing still All Weapons
Inertial: Replenish 15 Action Points with each kill. All Weapons

Ghost’s: Attacks that hit enemies each have a 10% chance to generate a Stealth Field All Weapons
