The Plains, more like, the barren death lands of Valheim. Though the constant sunshine may be a relief after spending so much time in the Black Forest and Swamps, the Plains are filled with the most dangerous monsters in all of Valheim. So, if you want to prevent an early trip to Valhalla than I suggest you use the Valheim Plains Monster Guide!

Valheim Plains Monster Guide

DEATHSQUITO

These “One Shot Murder Bugs” are any Vikings worst nightmare. Buzzing around the Plains and even following passing Vikings out to the Ocean, these bloodthirsty insects will stop at nothing to feast on your blood. Lucky for you they are quite easy to kill, as long as you can hit them that is.

Items Dropped:

Needle
Deathsquito Trophy

LOX

These tamable beasts may look gentle and sweet, but when frightened they can deliver quite the punishing blow. Protective of their herd and thick hides, they have even been known to knock down a building or two in order to take out the enemy that is bothering them.

Items Dropped:

Lox Meat
Lox Pelt
Lox Trophy

FULING

The most diverse monster in all of Valheim, these tiny green hulk creatures love to hunt and live in groups. With safety in numbers, this can make stumbling upon them unprepared quite the difficult task. So after you learned about each type, make sure you also check out our other guides on how to best deal with these Goblin wannabes HERE.

FULING TORCHBEARER

FULING CLUBBER

FULING SWORDSMAN

FULING JAVELINEER

FULING SHAMAN

Typically found only inside the safety of the Fuling Village, these Shaman work tirelessly to walk about, and struggle to lift a finger. Though they have survived to become the oldest Fuling, both wise and feeble, these Shaman would rather stay than slay.

Items Dropped:

Coins
Black Metal Scraps
Fuling Shaman Trophy

FULING BERSERKER

You should probably feel bad for the Fuling mother who had to give birth to these Berserkers. What they lack in brain cells they make up for twice fold in raw power, just be sure to properly dispose of their corpse once you’re finished looting it.

Items Dropped:

Coins
Black Metal Scraps
Fuling Totem
Fuling Berserker Trophy

YAGLUTH

The (current) Final boss in Valheim, well half of him at least. This failed resurrection of Yagluth seems to have only partially worked, which is probably for the best as just half of his full power is quite alot. Wielding the power of Hel fire, this crawling pile of bones is quite the hot mess.

Items Dropped:

Yagluth Trophy
Yagluths Thingt
